This has alarmed a lot of dermatologist across the world because they are not sure on what is causing the cancer to young people. Thus, researches have showed that a combined advanced processes as well as unprotected sun exposure is not only the reason for having this type of cancer. Here are some of the reasons why skin cancer is affecting young individuals.

Studies have founded that the use of cigarette as well as pipe smoking would increase the risk of a person for having skin cancer. According to most of the researches, half of those people who are diagnosed with skin cancer are less than forty and these people are chain smokers.

·         A person who has a lesser ability to repair damage which is caused by the exposure to the UV rays could also be a factor. Tanning beds and the rays of the sun could emit UV light, you might not feel it but this will hit you skin and will damage your DNAs but you body will be able to repair this damage but, frequent exposure to UV light would eventually damage outpaces repair on your skin.

·         Depletion of the ozone layer. The ozone layer is the one who is responsible in keeping the earth safe from UV light. Thus, through the years, the earth and exposed to different chemicals this caused the depletion of the ozone layer. And exposure to the UV rays is also a cause for having skin cancer or melanoma.
