Learning about Premature Ejaculation

The problem is a cornucopia of science-bound theories to the most common problem of man when he is with his woman. There are even times he further complicates the problem when he reaches climax first before his sexual partner while in the celestial dance of love…Yes, the dreaded Premature Ejaculation: The embarrassing moment that defines the inexperienced man.

There are a number of reasons this “phenomenon” occurs during the most carnal and passion-filled moment in two sexual partners’ lives; some fall under psychological issues and others more towards physical and environmental factors.

Premature Ejaculation or P.E as it is called is caused by many psychological factors that are mostly the individual’s own issues with sex and what to expect from or of it. He stresses on his performance or is even exaggerated to expect more of a fantasy from the bonding than what originally is. This causes an anxiety or even immense anticipation.

In much broader cases, the partners aren’t communicating well enough or there are problems between them in which the male doesn’t take his time in trying to satisfy the woman and aims to finish ahead so he may leave the bond. In non-relationship related matters, it could be caused by depression, stress, a history of sexual repression and lack of confidence. These are the common and mostly misunderstood issues within an individual man’s mind as he prematurely ejaculates but not all problems are related to emotions and feelings.

Biological factors too play big roles in this problem. It is a known fact that decreased serotonin levels secreted in the synaptic cleft of the specific areas of the brain can be the culprit for premature ejaculation. A series of study showed that men who suffer premature ejaculation have quicker neurological response located in the muscles of the pelvis. Though these odd experiments into P.E had been taken, most problems concerning premature ejaculation are purely psychological.

Medications have even been made for this problem such as Tramdol which delays ejaculation. They use a  method of measure called IELTs (Intravaginal Ejaculation Latency Time) which surveyed an extensive study of men from ages 18-30 having only six and half minutes whilst disorders were rated at  IELT percentiles below 2.5. This placed the occurrence of premature ejaculation below one minute and half which showed that the lower the number, the more likely the person ejaculates faster.

According to the leading scientists who had observed the study, premature ejaculation could not be called premature ejaculation unless the person had pure lack of control and suffered from interpersonal distress as a main trait. There was also a study based on young men and older women that had confirmed that the men reached the ejaculatory threshold much sooner than if with females their age or younger. Another case was also monitored where a man’s IELT was found at its shortest when his wife was in her fertile phase during her menstrual cycle. A paradox…

Whether we have medications or problems, premature ejaculation should not be considered such a problem as there are techniques and other forms of trainings to control the body or rhythm of how the intercourse plays out; much like Kamasutra’s teachings of slow penetrations, deeper breathing and taking time while performing so as to control the flow of how the body’s muscles and blood flow moves about the body. Man can always remedy himself if he but shows confidence and though he may learn but tips and tricks to perform better, there is that age old question still recurring in his head…
